I initially pursued a career in broadcasting because I wanted to cover sports. I have been lucky enough to intern at a sports talk radio station and at Turner Sports. At WUGA, I only had a week (two shows) to write sports stories, but I made the most of it. Luckily, it was the week of the SEC Championship Game, so I had the chance to edit together two packages in addition to writing all of my stories. Both packages wound up in the A block and one was actually chosen as the lead. My experience at WUGA has prepared me to contribute to a station or department in many different facets, but I would love the chance to work in sports full time. So here you can find my packages along with their anchor leads and tags. You can also see me anchor the slot that is usually reserved for sports, the D block.
SEC Title "Noise"
This package aired on the November 29 edition of UGA Newsource. UGA was gearing up to take on the seemingly unstoppable LSU Tigers in the SEC Championship Game. This video racked up over 1,300 views on my Youtube page, and an additional link on the Grady Newsource Youtube page has been seen by over 2,600 viewers.

I continued to preview the SEC Championship game. I also covered college basketball, high school
football, and the Syracuse sex abuse situation.

SEC Title Special Teams Breakdown
This package led the December 1 newscast. The main thing Mark Richt and the Georgia players emphasized during the week's press conference was not just the quality of LSU's players...but the quantity.
